Very happy with calming and cognition bites
My dog is a 16 year old rough collie mix and he was having a lot of cognitive issues. We’ve been working with our vet to help him. I came across these Calming and Cognition Bites and they have made such a difference. My dog doesn’t get stuck in corners or behind chairs at night anymore. He’s significantly calmer at night and doesn’t cry all night anymore. He still paces but not nearly as often as he used to and he settles down much faster than before. This doesn’t include melatonin, so we do give him melatonin before bed. I’ve also noticed that he’s a lot happier during the day. He’s playing more and is more alert.

Helps my dogs “Sundowners”
My 15 year old Pomeranian used to eat the bright minds food, but has decided he only wants to eat Dog Chow now and This was a good compromise so he still gets his brain vitamins to help him be more present with the family. I truly see a difference for his cognitive function when he has the food and supplements. Nighttime is his worst time. My fiancé swears my dog has “sundowners”. The calming ingredients really help me get some sleep from him wandering the house. I give the chews at night and he actually loves them and will bark at me until I give them to him if I forget. (Although sometimes he forgets I gave it and still barks, but that’s beside the point). (Bonus: they are soft enough that I just use them to hide his heart med in them also)

Good product but pricey
Our female Rottweiler has high anxiety – She takes these to help calm her throughout the day. We give them as a “treat” and she loves them- I do think it’s helped her mood- a bit pricey, so we’re looking into alternatives with the same quality and effect

Works like a charm!!
OMG! This stuff works!! My poor 17 year old dog was non stop pacing, pacing in circles, yipping (really high pitch) and bored out of her mind. There was nothing I could do to help her. I bought this product and the pacing was over, the high pitch continuous yipping – gone!! I highly recommend this!

Perfect for smaller dogs
I wasn’t sure if these were working, but my groomer asked what was going on with my dogs. When I asked for her to clarify, she stated that they are usually feisty and yappy, but after taking these supplements, they were calm and peaceful. I still need to work on dosage with my larger dog. It seems like someone farts in the next county over and he’s having a panic attack behind the sofa.

Hope in a Jar
I’m trying these from my 4 pound toy shiztsu who has serious dementia and degenerative myopathy. He’s stopped eating and stares off into space. He’s losing function of his back legs and it’s just heartbreaking to watch. He’s only 9 and this is progressing a warp speed since last month.While hem’s not in pain according to the vet, his eyes are empty and lifeless. I know we’re losing him but I’m not willing to give up yet! If you’re reading this, you’re probably not either.I’m writing this review even though it’s only been two days. If your dog is not eating and will not consume one of these chews, you can mash it up with a little water or better yet coconut oil to liquify. Then put it in his mouth with a little dropper. My little guy Kilo gobbles it up with no problem along with a liquid calorie and vitamin supplement. I’m using the coconut oil for calories and because it has fatty acids. I’m not sure if we see any improvement quite yet but I wanted to suggest the liquifying technique to anyone who might skip these because their dog isn’t chewing solid food.I’ll come back with an update in 2 weeks. God speed to all of you dealing with the impossibly heart wrenching, slow and painful loss of a beloved pet with dementia and degenerative nerve issues. I’d hug you all if I could!Update:It’s been two weeks and these had made a DRAMATIC difference. Kilo is eating again, the sparkle is back in his eyes, he’s engaging and meets me at the door, he’s even walking better and not falling. Its been nothing short of a miracle!! We missed a couple days last week and it there was a very noticeable change for the worse – slept all day, refused to eat, staring into space. I’m just speechless and incredibly grateful to this company for giving us more time together and for Kilo, a better quality of life!Update Feb. 9th:We did end up losing Kilo at the end of January. Ultimately, he just stopped eating and drinking altogether. Even mixing the supplement with coconut oil which he loved was a no go. It was just a week from when stopped eating and to his leaving this earth. He died at home in my arms, he was not suffering but his little brain just had run out of steam.I wanted to thank Zesty Paws and the Alpha Brain company for creating this powerful product. It gave us 3 more quality months we never would have had without it. I wish I had known about it sooner. Neurological disease is insidious and cunning. It can easily present as something else and why it was diagnosed only by process of elimination after several months of Kilo going downhill. Cognitive Bites was our Hail Mary Amazon order that actually worked and went to war against the illness, alleviating symptoms for months. Most importantly, it gave Kilo and I a bit more of life’s greatest gift, the gift of time.Thank You Zesty Paws and the makers of Alpha Brain. 💕
