I add a small amount to my chihuahua’s water and it does help with her breath. I use it every time I change her water. It does last a long time.

Don’t Get the Big (Negative) Deal
I don’t quite get what all the negative fuss here is (though I was expecting the bottle not to be super-sealed, and they should do that, I admit).You need very little of this stuff, and my cats aren’t noticing anything. The one with the horrid breath and decay is smelling somewhat better (he will never smell like sunshine and roses…he’s a cat who licks himself and eats anything he can).My vet recommended this.I do find the directions to be lacking…they are vague and leave a question or two. Just use common sense…we’re talking half a teaspoon in some water. There is a mildly minty smell in the bottle, but no smell once in the water.I can see from the litter box that the cats are hydrating. There’s been no MOLD, no mystery illnesses. 🙄(Of course I pray that every sick pet, regardless of reason, is okay!)

Didn’t do anything for my dog’s teeth
Adding this to my dog’s water did help with his breath, but didn’t do anything for his yellowing/plaque. I purchased this because my dog hated when I brushed his teeth, and when I adopted him he had a good amount of plaque on his back teeth. I used two of these bottles and added the recommended amount to his water twice a day. This didn’t do a thing for his teeth. I recommend that you slowly introduce brushing your dog’s teeth to your routine. Now I’m easily able to brush my dog’s teeth every day. That’s the only way to get rid of yellowing/plaque, not supplements.
