I thoroughly enjoyed the difference my body felt from such an effective product. The Seed 14 Day Gut Reset – Prebiotic and Probiotic seamless. I opted for the vitamin supplements because it made sense to continue resetting my body temple with essential supplement if nutritional value. My week of taking them has been encouraging for gut health. My vegan duet keeps me on SEED quality products. I loved how I felt on and after the 14-day reset. Horrible smell, horrible tasting burps.I did some research to see what it is that makes this vitamin so awful because it’s really a small pill with so many ingredients. I figured it would be easy on the stomach and easy to tolerate.Looking at the label, there are three very likely culprits working together to create a strong, almost rancid odor:1. The “Cellular Energy Complex”Contains:• Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) and PQQ (pyrroloquinoline quinone) — both are notoriously pungent. When encapsulated in lipids (as they are here), they can smell fishy or plasticky if exposed to even a little moisture or heat.• Spermidine trihydrochloride, a real compound (from wheat germ or natto) whose name says it all. It’s a polyamine that supports cell renewal but has a strong, putrid odor even in trace amounts. Most supplement companies use microdoses because of the smell.That combination alone can make a bottle smell like sour plastic or rotten soybeans.2. The “Microbiome-Modulating Prebiotic”Contains:• Japanese wasabi extract (rich in isothiocyanates; same compounds that make horseradish burn your sinuses).• Japanese pagoda tree extract (95 % quercetin, which oxidizes quickly and produces a bitter, metallic taste).Once air or humidity hits this blend, it can smell sharp, sulfuric, and leave a bitter aftertaste that lingers.3. Mineral Chelates (TRAACS® forms)Zinc, copper, and manganese in amino-acid chelate form (like bisglycinate or citrate) are stable but can still give off a metallic, sour, or earthy odor, especially when combined with sulfur-bearing vitamins (B1, selenium, etc.). The chelates also can taste awful if the capsule dissolves even slightly before swallowing.So what’s probably happening• The capsule-in-capsule design traps volatile odors inside, but once opened repeatedly, the inner components (spermidine + wasabi extract + trace minerals) vent a sulfuric/chemical smell.• That smell seeps into the vegan capsule wall (hypromellose), so even clean capsules start tasting foul.• When swallowed, those volatile sulfur and amine compounds rise up the throat and create that after-burp taste that feels like chemicals or spoiled soy.The bottle was sealed and there is a moisture packet, so I doubt the smell is due to moisture.When swallowed with milk, and taken with yogurt, cold rice and butter, there is no aftertaste or burps. I won’t take this with a light meal or with water. I take one star for the smell, and what seems like excessive packaging.I’ve only taken 2, I’ll update if I take the whole 30 days. I am hopeful.

Great alternative to the bigger names
I used other alternatives for roughly 6 months and this tablet feels more complete. Plus it saves you the time of mixing powder into water each morning. Definitely recommended if you’re looking to ditch Huel Daily Greens and not drop quality.

High-quality product that is just not compatible with me
I should be thrilled with Seed’s DM-02 Multivitamin, but I’m not. Having taken Seed’s DS-01 product for gut happiness successfully for over a year, I don’t think there’s any issue with Seed’s quality. The range of vitamins and minerals included in this multivitamin formula is comprehensive and within the daily recommended dosage for adults. I love that Seed includes micronutrients and antioxidants. I’ve experimented with enough multivitamins to know that it is rare to see results quickly, so my expectations for results in the short term (30 days) were not high. No, the issue for me is the smell and the taste. For the first couple of weeks I told myself it wasn’t that bad, just a pill that could be swallowed quickly. Then some unpleasant burping started and I found myself “forgetting” to take them. This tells me that I was avoiding the experience and, in the end, I just stopped. Having decided in advance that this was likely to be a multivitamin I could be sure of, I’m truly disappointed. It just might be the best multivitamin ever but something in it is just not compatible with me. I’m rating the product a “4” just because of the smell/taste and I probably could make myself get past that except for the burping.
