Decent Starter Kit, but Has Some Drawbacks
This kit showed up with everything listed, so no complaints there, and a few pieces like the Pilates ring, knee pad, and arm stretcher are actually useful. I’ll probably keep reaching for those.But honestly? A lot of it feels cheap. The jump rope looks like something you’d grab at a dollar store, and the resistance bands are so thin I’m nervous about stretching them too far. They might be fine for light moves, but I wouldn’t trust them for anything serious.I also haven’t inflated the ball yet. The kit comes with a little straw, but there’s no way I’m putting my mouth on random plastic like that. A pump would’ve made way more sense.What really threw me was the smell. This box sat unopened for a month because of an injury, and some of the items were still off-gassing when I finally opened it. One of the bands especially just reeked, which doesn’t exactly make you want to work out.I’m giving it three stars because it’s not a total waste, some parts are usable, but the quality just isn’t there overall. If you’re curious about Pilates and want to test out a variety of tools, it might work as a starter kit. Just expect to replace a few things pretty quickly.
