i think it’s working!
We have 2 cats. Cat #1 startles very easily and bullies cat #2. Cat #2 started peeing on the floor just outside the litter box about 2 years ago when a dog came to visit for the weekend and ever since, has done that every few days. (does not have a UTI.) I gave them both P** N** of Ver***t calming chew treats for a couple of years and saw no effect. I also used phermone diffusers- all different brands – for many years, and they did not work AT ALL for ANY cat i’ve ever had. I started both our cats on this Fera supplement a little over 1 month ago. I give them each 1/2 scoop twice/day, sprinkled into and stirred well into their dry cat food. I just realized this week that cat #1 hasn’t been startled for a while! And cat #2 has gone 6 days w/o peeing on the floor! I can’t believe it. I didn’t think any calming agent would ever work. We had already been using the Fera probiotic powder, which worked very well (they rarely throw up since starting on it). i give the probiotic once in the AM and the calming powder twice per day, AM & PM. At first, I tried just sprinkling both powders on top, but the cats didn’t like that at all. So I mixed the calming powder into the food, and sprinkled the probiotic powder on top, and they don’t seem to notice it and eat all their food. The calming powder sticks nicely to the food. I usually stir it for about 10 seconds to make sure it is well mixed and doesn’t stay on the bowl. However, if you stir the probiotic powder into the (dry) food, it just falls to the bottom of the bowl and stays there instead of sticking to the food. So it really has to be sprinkled on top. I have used many probiotics for various cats over the years and they have always worked. But this is the first time in many years of cat ownership that I’ve found a calming agent that actually does anything. I’m thrilled that it seems to be making a difference for our cats. Now I just hope they don’t raise the price!

Somewhat effective supplement
Cats liked taste, but not large enough amount (powder) to last a month in this house. Efficacy barely visible (bought it as an anti-inflammatory and anti-mucous producing supplement).

Works well…
Works well at calming an otherwise anxious dog.

Cats showed no interest.
I only gave it three stars simply because my cats would not consume anything I put the powder in.

Had the opposite effect…
I wanted to like this product considering our boys and us love Fera as a brand. Their probiotic powder is truly a godsend. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for their calming supplements. The one with goat milk added in (tried previously) gave our nervous boy major loose stools, so we tried this one [minus milk additives] instead. Well… it didn’t work either. Not only did it not calm our nervous boy down, it actually increased his anxiety. He became extremely vocal, was picking fights with his brother, and even started urinating outside of the litter box. We stopped giving him the supplement quickly after that and thankfully his extra nerves subsided after the supplement completely cleared his system. We will continue using the FERA probiotic powder cause it clearly works, but just be cautious of calming supplements and how they can affect your pets. Sometimes the side effects just aren’t worth the possibility of the aid the product might provide.

My cats loved this
Finding cat food with 0 chicken is hard to find especially with great quality ingredients. I’ve used this food for several months now and am totally sad that it won’t be made any longer. 😭😭😭

Great product
I was so excited to write this review. It was perfect that they came up with a calming supplement as my dog, Bumblebee, has a newly developed anxiety associated with loud noises. perfect opportunity to try it on him. I wanted to use their newest product on my dog a few times before writing this. I’ve been a fan of the Fera line and continue to have a great experience with their products for my dogs! It calmed Bumblebee down and seemed to reduce his anxiety. The powder was easy to sprinkle in his food and it seemed palatable (my dog loved it). This is a great tool to have that’s available over the counter without needing a prescription from your veterinarian. It’s worth a try to see if it works for your pets!

I have a cat with FHS and I mix this in her food daily. I use the recommended daily dose split between two meals. She used to self harm her tail during an episode. Haven’t had an incident in a year (I started adding this to her food just over a year ago). Please note 2 things 1: this is not guaranteed to work for all cats (whether they have FHS or not). Because all animals handle differently in regards to calming formulas. I would still talk to your vet before putting your cat or dog on this. And if you do decide to try it, it took a couple of weeks before we noticed a difference in behavior (at least in my case). And 2: This calming formula is used along side some other routines and dietary formulas to help manage my cat’s FHS. Meaning this is not helping her alone. And a huge improvement in behavior wasn’t noticeable until I started adding this to her food on top of everything else I am doing

It is a very good product. But it’s for my cat and she only ate it once due to being picky. I had to take away dry food for a few hours so she eventually ate it and she was quite comfortable after (she can get extremely itchy due to allergies, even with medication and weekly baths). Second time I tried to give it to her apparently she would rather starve. Not the companies fault. She is VERY picky. Also spoiled. I know my Rottie would take it without without any acknowledgment but he doesn’t need it… I trust this product as well.

I have a lot of these powders and they are amazing. But I didn’t notice much of a “calming” effect for this one. Also, it’s very expensive…. on amazon…

I use ashwagandha myself, it works to sedate, my doggie just doesn’t particularly like the way it makes him feel and always munches grass the next morning (lawn)
