Why is it important that the Intimate Rose Dilators are the only FDA-cleared product?

Great question! Intimate Rose Dilators are the only silicone pelvic floor relaxation devices cleared by the FDA (510(k) K241748) to address issues like pelvic pain and vaginismus. This clearance means our product has passed strict testing for safety, quality, and effectiveness. Any other dilators claiming to treat these conditions without FDA clearance are breaking the rules – and putting your health at risk with unverified, potentially dangerous products.

Should I take a chance on non-FDA compliant dilators?

Purchasing a product that breaks the FDA rules is strongly NOT recommended. These products have not been tested for safety, material quality, or effectiveness. If something goes wrong, there’s no oversight and no support. With your body on the line, buying a non-compliant device isn’t just a gamble – it’s a risk you don’t need to take.

Why are other products still being sold if they’re not FDA-cleared?

Because no one’s holding them accountable — and that’s a serious problem. Unregulated products with unproven claims flood the market, putting your health at risk. At Intimate Rose, we refuse to cut corners. We follow FDA guidelines because you deserve products backed by science, not marketing hype.

How do Intimate Rose’s sizes compare to other brands?

More dilators in a set doesn’t always mean better. Many brands include fewer sizes with large, painful jumps between them – making it harder and more uncomfortable to progress. Intimate Rose offers 9 total sizes with our sets featuring gradual increases. Drastic size jumps are not approved by the FDA because they will cause discomfort or injury. Designed by Dr. Amanda Olson, our dilators prioritize your healing—not just a higher piece count.

Who recommends these?

14,000+ pelvic therapists across the USA and even more worldwide trust our dilators in their clinics. Intimate Rose is the go-to brand that is used to train new therapists when getting certified and are the gold standard in pelvic floor care.

Why did the logo move?

We listened to your feedback! The logo is now at the base (not the side) for a smoother, more comfortable experience.

Huge results in just a month!
I bought these for vaginismus. I’ve had them for roughly a month so far and have already worked up to size 4. The pack came with sizes 1-4. The silicone is rubbery and bendy—a very forgiving material. Works great with water-based lube. Easy to clean; I just use warm water and a gentle soap. The kit also comes with a little carrying bag which will be nice since I am going on a vacation soon and want to bring them.Size 1 is about like a small finger or a pencil (not as long as a pencil, though). It was difficult for me at first but honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. It was just big enough to be effective yet not traumatic. My doctor instructed me to use one dilator each day for fifteen minutes, moving up as is comfortable.I’m so happy with this kit. It has made navigating this very unpleasant and humiliating condition so much easier. Again, it has only been ONE MONTH, and I am up to number 4, which, when I first looked at it, I thought “I can’t imagine being able to use that one”. And the last couple days I have been able to use it with ease. Thank you Intimate Rose!

    Works Beautifully
Alright, so let me start by saying that dilators are extremely affective for pelvic pain and painful intercourse. For years I’ve been unable to have sex and for those years I was convinced I was ‘too small’. Then when I was able to to engage in the activity, it was only because I had torn very badly which ruined the experience. I thought I was doomed and was losing my confidence as a married woman who wanted to have kids (no matter how silly that sounds). But just about 4 or 5 months ago I found out about these dilators and thought it was worth a try. I started with the small pack (sizes 1-4) and after a few months, I purchased the large pack (sizes 5-8) once I felt ready. Now, I will say that the silicone dilators are something you’ll either love or hate because apparently having a bit of a reaction to silicone based materials isn’t at all uncommon. Personally, I noticed some very slight burning that gradually faded within a few seconds each time and I’m inclined to believe it’s because my body just didn’t agree with it. The dilators themselves though, are extremely comfortable and clean very easily. Each set comes with a discreet velvet drawstring pouch as well which I really appreciated. But anyways, I basically just took my time and made sure to stay consistent with the exercises until I was able to accommodate the size 8 dilator. If having sex is your issue, like it was for me, you’ll be happy to know that the final size (8) is the size of the average penis in the US so you can be confident that you’ll be okay after that. This is the first time ever that I’ve been anxiety free and pain free. I’ve gone without tearing, bleeding and/or being sore and I’m able to have a normal sex life because of it. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say I had success with these. 10/10 would recommend if silicone doesn’t really bother you! Just be very patient with the practice, be kind and love yourself.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Recently married and waiting until married. I had a lot of pain with penetration to the point where I was in tears and had to stop after a minute or less. After a few months, we decided that I should get checked out by a doctor to see what is going on. The doc recommended pelvic floor physical therapy and through the PT I was introduced to the dilators. Over time I am now able to have pain free penetration through the PT and ultimately using the dilators on the daily. I would highly recommend if struggling with painful penetration or even pain with getting a tampon in!!

Better size guide in the box
Intimate rose, you failed on advertising the correct sizes .Why do you compare it with a mascara wand?? Instead you need to display the second page of the phamplet which compares it to tampon use, medical exams, intercourse. This is easier for women to understand what size we need and what size we don’t.I did not know what size to get. I bought the smaller sizes now they are no use. I need the larger ones.

    Well constructed.
Used to prepare for an annoying medical exam. I’m someone who is naturally a “clamper” so I wanted to not do that again! I’ve had some really annoying pap tests in the past, never any sex. Size 1 was crazy small- like a pencil. I’m assuming some people would need this though but it wasn’t a big deal for me. Size 2 was like a light days tampon, Size 3 is like a couple of super tampons, Size 4 is getting a bit more substantial and was kind of a struggle at first since my muscles were crazy clamping down on the thing, but within a few tries it became easier. They came well packaged without any identifying information on them, and promptly. They come with a convenient carrying case inside in case you want to ditch the box…although the box is perfect as a gift box for other things since its sturdy and unmarked. The texture of the dilators is really smooth and it makes it easy to insert.. Cleaning is a breeze . I bought the small box.. Then the large box…The large box…..well they get “large” by the end…although I kinda wish there were more. I think between size 5 and 6 there needs to be an in between – going from 1.07 to 1.3 is a torture….it needed a 1.18… same is true for the next size up. I also kinda wish they had one larger one that was 1.7″ or 1.8″ even- which is “average” size if you ever want to have sex with a human, (if that is what your aim is for in using these-I know some people buy them for that end). So…if you are the designer reading this, please make 1 larger size, and also some more incremental ones, my suggestion is 1.07, 1.18, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.65, and 1.7 and a final top off with a 1.8. I would pay for a “superset” of large ones. Doesn’t need to be any longer.

Actually works. I had vaginismus for 10 years and it was a painful problem for me. Although looking back, I actually did not physically need this smaller set, I used it fully starting from the smallest, and it was a huge confidence-booster. I worked through all the sizes in two weeks, spending five days on the first one! I was never in pain once. I also realized that lube can make a huge difference for me in general. The one downside is that the name of the manufacturer is impressed into the shaft, which was noticeable and very slightly uncomfortable when it was twisted (this is part of the exercises you do) where the imprint didn’t make it as smooth as it could have been. On the larger size set the manufacturer has done away with this and has put the name of the manufacturer at the base – smarter.I would recommend this to anyone.

I liked the silicone material of the dilators which makes it not too hard and uncomfortable to use. They are easy to wash, just hand soap and water and some toilet paper to wipe the water off.I made progress faster than I had anticipated! My goal is to reach size 6/7.I like the small pouch it comes with to carry the dilators.I utilised water based Durex lubricant with the dilators while practicing with them. The website offers useful advice for progressing to the next size up.I am very satisfied with this purchase!
