“Get in shape, girl” all grown up
“Get in shape, girl! You love the feeling! Get in shape, girl! It’s so appealing!” This jingle from the 1980s toy company that sold at home exercise kits targeted towards preteen girls was all I could hear when I saw the product listing for this at home Pilates Ring Equipment Kit.This Pilates kit is similar to my childhood exercise kit, down to the exact shading of the pinks, purples, and turquoises that adorn the various pieces in this set.To me, it feels that the company absolutely got the marketing right, as the targeted demographic for this product is those who might need pelvic floor strengthening – women between the ages of late 30s to late 50s, which is majority the women of generation X. And although I don’t know this for certain, I can only assume many of us who currently own this Pilates set also owned the colorful batons, ribbons, leg warmers, and wristbands that were synonymous with the “get in shape…” product line.If nothing else, this Pilates kit is worth it just for a trip down Nostalgia Lane. But in all seriousness this actually is a great at home exercise set, perfect for beginners where it’s not too intimidating, but it’s also advanced enough for the seasoned Pilates professional.The pieces of equipment that make up this kit are durable and functional, and the variety allows you to create your own individualized fitness program.The total cost of this kit is about the same as to what one Pilates class would cost in studio, so I’d consider this not just a great bargain, but a fantastic investment, too. This Pilates kit is an incredible value, and a fun reminder of yesteryear.

Has Pilates Potential
The equipment included in this pilates workout set seems to be of pretty good quality and for the most part functional. The ring is comfortable to use because of the attached foam pads. It offers stiff resistance right out of the box, although it might loosen up a bit with use which would be good. The resistance bands are not those cheap thin silicone straps- these are heavy duty webbing & elastic. They are not adjustable however, and the “light” and “medium” bands do not differ in the amount of resistance they give (my husband said he thought the medium band had a little more give than the light one did). The “heavy” band is extremely resistant- I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to use that one! I was most excited about the pilates ball- I’ve been wanting one for over a year. The kit includes a plug removal tool, an extra ball plug, and a couple of straws with which you can manually blow up the ball- but getting the plug in before most of the air comes out is impossible. A regular ball pump with needle might work better- I just have to find mine which is buried in the garage somewhere (lol). Everything except the ring comes in a mesh drawstring bag for storage which is nice, and the whole set is packaged in a nice box, suitable for gifting (is it socially appropriate to gift exercise equipment?) Finally, they include a poster with lots of illustrations for different exercises you can do with the various components- that is definitely a plus.

Great All-in-One Pilates Kit for Home Workouts!
This Pilates Ring Equipment Kit is an excellent value and has everything needed for a complete at-home workout. The 14″ ring offers the perfect amount of resistance and feels sturdy with comfortable padded grips. The mini exercise ball is easy to inflate and perfect for core work or adding stability challenges.I also love that it includes resistance bands, which add great variety to my routines. Everything is lightweight, compact, and easy to store, making it perfect for small spaces. The materials aren’t heavy-duty gym quality, but for home use they’re more than good enough.Overall, a versatile, beginner-friendly Pilates set that helps target arms, legs, and core effectively. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build a simple, effective home fitness setup!

Good for beginners, but with some quality issues
This is a solid beginner Pilates kit. It comes with the basics you’d need to get started, but not everything in the set feels like the best quality.The Pilates ring seems sturdy enough and should work well for beginners. The leg bands are a nice touch — they have a textured rubber lining to help prevent slipping and come labeled as light, medium, and heavy, which makes it easy to know what resistance you’re using. The included exercise sheet is also handy for giving you a few ideas to start with.The figure-8 stretching band, however, feels pretty cheaply made. The foam looks like it could tear after some use.The inflatable ball was the trickiest part for me. It comes with two plugs, which is thoughtful, but you have to inflate it by mouth with the included straw. That part was fine, but getting the plug in afterward was frustrating. My solution was just to plug the straw and push it all the way in. It lives in there now. It works, and it’s easy to pull out when deflating, but it rattles around when the ball is inflated. You might have better luck than I did, but just be prepared for a bit of trial and error.Overall, if you’re just dipping your toes into Pilates, this kit is a budget-friendly way to start and see if you like it. Just keep in mind that while it’s functional, a couple of pieces may not hold up.

Pilates Equipment
I’m disappointed with this Pilates Ring Equipment Kit. The ring arrived broken, and the exercise ball has a hole, making it completely unusable. While the concept of a complete home workout kit is great, the quality control is clearly lacking. Everything else feels fine in theory, but receiving damaged items right out of the box was extremely frustrating. It’s not safe or practical to use in this condition, and it required contacting customer service for replacements. Because of the broken ring and defective ball, I can’t recommend this kit and have to give it 2 stars.
