Pork-flavored joint and omega chews
These joint support chews are super meaty in texture and quite large and thick, even for my medium-size dog to chew. I usually have to break it in half or one-third or else he’ll spit it out because it’s too big to chew. It’s not too difficult to split and also doesn’t crumble.I didn’t realize these are pork-flavored and not beef or chicken, as my dog is sort of allergic/sensitive to pork meat, but he hasn’t had digestive issues with these chews. They’re also not oily or fishy on the hands and feels dry after breaking them up.The quality and brand is good, as I take the human equivalent of Nordic Naturals’ omega supplements, too, but one 30-count bag is pricey since my 27-pound dog needs 2 chews, so one bag would only last two weeks.

My dogs love these and would eat the whole bag if they could get their paws on them! I just started them on these supplement treats two days ago. Two of my dogs are 10 and 14 years old and they beagle mix breed and need to lose some weight. The other two dogs are too young for joint issues plus they are very small chi mixes. So they get a small pinch of the supplements for now. These treats are bit pricey (IMO) for the quantity plus depending on the size of the dog, you’ll go through them fast. BUT if I feel it is helping my older dogs with better mobility and less strain then its worth the expense and I will do whatever it takes to make all my pet’s quality of life better.UPDATE: Be cautious on how many treats to give your pet in the beginning. You need to gauge how the digestive system reacts. As much as my fur kid love these, I noticed right away it will give them very loose stools. I have limited the treats now and do not follow the recommendations on the package. Each dog’s digestive system needs to be watched. Keep an eye on the poo they leave you so you know how it’s affecting them. I still recommend this item. I look at the portions per pet as suggestions till I know for sure how each pet tolerates the ingredients.

Great treats but may be better for small/medium pups.
These treats are really good. I didn’t notice a smell nor were they sticky when we got them. My 90# pitty was playing like a pully when she had these treats and that’s saying something because she’s got hip dysplasia. There are a few things I will warn about. These treats are best (imho) for small/medium pups. The amount you give depends on weight. At 90# my pup was taking 4/day. When you only have 30 in there, you need to have multiple packs to get through a month with a larger pup. I would compare these with others to determine whether they are cost effective for you and your pup. They are less expensive than the ones that I had been using and she seems to like them more, but she has to take so many!Bonus side effect: My pup will sit sweetly at treat time for these. So, very easy to get her to take them!

My dogs didn’t take to these
I got this for my Beagle as she is older but she didn’t seem to take to it. It doesn’t have a smell and it’s very soft. They are small and round. It’s not bad for the price but my dogs didn’t like it at all.

Dog Joint Support Supplement
I can’t say enough good things about this product! It smells and obviously tastes great, my dogs absolutely love it. Even my picky doodle, who refuses almost every supplement, will happily take these! Which honestly surprised me. On top of that, I’ve already noticed results. My 10-year-old lab has been moving around so much better and seems more comfortable since starting them. It feels amazing to see both of my dogs benefiting from something they enjoy taking. This is definitely a product I’ll keep buying!

I take nordic naturals omega fish oil supplements for humans and I also get the ones for dogs for my two dogs. Because of my history with this brand, I felt safe giving this joint support supplement to my dogs. However, I most likely won’t continue to give these to my dogs as one bag lasts less than week. A 60-79 pound dog would need 4 chews per the feeding guideline and that would mean only 7 days for one of my dogs, so it is definitely pricey.

All the helpful ingredients, and more, plus my dog loves the flavor!
My 5 year old pit-lab mix has been taking a similar supplement for the past year, after having pretty intense surgery on his knee. We noticed the results, but our dog hated the taste of the other supplements.Then I found these advanced supplements by Nordic Naturals and decided to give them a try. Not only do these have the same kind of ingredients, but they have even more good things that the other brand didn’t include. The best part is my dog loves them! I noticed on the label they’re made without any artificial colors or flavors, which is great, but he definitely loves the flavor and thinks they’re a normal dog treat and not “medicine” of any kind.I was a little worried these might give him bad breath, but that’s not the case. No fishy breath or burps!Since switching to this brand, we haven’t noticed any side effects and my dog still has no new issues with his knees. It also seems like his coat is a bit softer.
