This did require assembly, but the diagrams were clear and between us, my husband and I were able to get this bike up and running. The panel with info is readily apparent and we both feel like we get a decent workout raising our pulse rates and maintaining that for the prescribed amount of time. Grateful to have something that we can use at home.,
