Testing against darn tough
Bottom line up front: they’re great.I got these to test against the darn tough brand I’ve been using for years. I love my DT socks but the price is a bit limiting… Meaning I’d buy more if they were cheaper. That said, quality counts and I still will buy DTs, but not as often. The new socks work great. Good fit, no blisters, stay in place and are average for warmth. After a week, I ordered 3 more pairs in different styles and have really enjoyed them all. These will probably be my primary socks now. Time will tell on the durability so I can’t speak to that yet. A definite recommend to buy. 👍

Thin enough to be comfortable, and warm.
I hike and hunt very often. and few cotton socks can keep your feet warm when it drops well below freezing. If they can they’re very thick and make your feet sweat and alter the fit in your shoes. the wool is soft and definitely high grade, thin yet very warm and you can feel them wick away any moisture. I love these and will wear them until my toes pop through them, which looks like it’ll take a while. will be buying more!

A little snug around the high ankle
Admittedly, I have very large calves. These may be a perfect fit for you. If you have large gastrocnemius muscles you might want to avoid these. They are soft and comfy on my feet though.

i love these for cycling
these are slightly cushioned on the bottoms and thinner on the top of the foot. i have been using the same pair for cycling(multiple 2 hour plus rides per week) for two years and they are still in great shape. nice and warm and thin enough to layer a second pair of socks and still be able to fit into my shoes.

Good and comfortable
I think they could be designed a little bit more tougher but I do still have all eight Pair that I bought a couple years ago. I do a lot of hiking and sometimes we’re them as a daily sock. Still holding up but after 5 or 6 months they do show wear and tear. Very comfortable.

I have started throwing away my other “plain” socks
I bought 3 pair a year ago when going to Amazon in Brazil and wanted good hiking socks. These are comfortable with good cushioning and help keep feet dry. They are very durable so I bought 3 more to be able to wear more often. Cost a little more than cheapo socks but will last much much longer without wear.

comfy but they shrink a lot when you put them in the dryer by accident.

Socks are very comfortable and breathable . I have hiked about 30-35 km wearing these socks with about 7 wash/dry cycles and they are holding up very nicely . One less star due to price…as we would always like to pay less .
