Sturdy, small profile, does the job!
I got this roller for my partner that is pregnant and needing a little back therapy. She’s been using it for a bit now and loves the feel, the size, and the ease at which she can work on her back. Me, the skeptic, finally gave it a try and I really like the results. It’s very sturdy to provide the support needed in order to get a good stretch or crack or whatever on my back. We’ve used it for many different exercises and stretches and it’s held up to everything we throw at it. Would definitely recommend!!

Ahhh, now that’s relief
Purchased another brand that described their roller as soft and it was anything but. Trying to use it caused me so much pain and soreness. I bought this one as a replacement. Once I tried this one out the other one felt like I had been rolling on a brick. Oh my goodness, this is exactly what I was looking for. A very simple tool, but it works wonders. It is dense, but has give and is so helpful for stretching and waking up muscles, as well as, recovery such as working out sore or tight muscles.

Best roller ive found for daily use
Ive bought 2 of these so i can keep one at my place and one at my girlfriends so i always have it available! Best back roller ive found, just the right amount of give so it doesn’t bruise your back but enough firmness to crack all those nots out of there!! Totally recommend! Two thumbs up!

Alas, not firm enough.
Okay so. This a a well made foam roller, however, it’s not firm. Or rather, it’s not firm enough for my needs. I should have heeded the other reviews.

Great to work our kinks!
I first used this when I was visiting my parents out of town. I had a lot of back pain and my dad suggested I use it to loosen the muscles. I used it for 10-15 minutes and I was amazed my pain was so much better I wasn’t hunched over anymore. I immediately got online and ordered this for at home. I would say not to over use it because it can make your muscles tender if you overwork them. I use this if I have pain and my husband uses it if he feels stiff or achy too. We are both in good shape but have issues with our muscles sometimes. Definitely recommend keeping this on hand to help. I use it on my side, on my back all the way up to my shoulders. It’s stiff enough to rub anywhere though. If I needed I could roll it on an arm or leg too. Love it.

Wonderful for helping relieve muscle pain and spasm
I bought this because I was in a car crash and was getting awful headaches from muscle spasm in my back and shoulders. I got only so much physical therapy and was having trouble stopping taking prescribed muscle relaxers because the headaches would start to come back. This foam roller really helped to relieve muscle spasm and has helped me to stop taking the muscle relaxers and it keeps the headaches from coming back.I was using this 5 to 6 times a week for over a year. The foam roller does wear out with that type of use. I’ve had to replace my original. The foam roller will get smaller when you wear it out. My old one is about an inch shorter, and the circle lost maybe 5mm in diameter. It also is softer and just stopped doing as a god a job.It can be painful at first when you use the roller, but its like deep tissue massage pain. This is a wonderful item.

Awesome foam roller
Best foam roller for shoulders to bottom. Too thick for neck. But overall this is one of the best foam rollers I’ve owned. Lightweight but firm.

Medium firm. Just what I needed. The firmer models were made of styrofoam material. This one is made of a dense type of foam but NOT styrofoam which creates a medium firmness. The 18′ inch length is just enough span to provide coverage to both left and right shoulders. I’m 5’5″ and 165 lbs.

I’ve been looking for one of these for ages but never found the right size – I use it for upper back opening yoga exercises. This size is perfect. In addition, it’s well made, nicely packaged, and comes with a useful DVD showing other useful exercises. Very useful for anyone practising yoga. I also like all the other GAIAM yoga equipment.
